Annual Report 2017
2017 was yet another year filled with great collaborations with our partners and the development and marketing of new tourism products. For the national theme year ‘From Mondriaan to Dutch Design’ we linked the design-oriented tourist attractions in the city with cycling routes and walks and more comprehensive packages. We developed a successful Brainport Bus Tour for groups and once again produced a splendid city guide for Eindhoven. Brandstore Eindhoven launched a new line of merchandise, in cooperation with our sister organisation Eindhoven365, the KEI Black collection.
As well as products there were the major productions, like Eindhoven=King, Park Hilaria, GLOW Eindhoven and Fijne Feestdagen Festival that we support on many fronts or coordinate completely. A new addition to the events calendar in 2017 was the Swimming World Cup that we brought to Eindhoven. And we were successful in establishing Stichting Koningsdag with healthy cooperation between all the parties involved for the year 2018.
Eindhoven is popular as a destination. In cooperation with Visit Brabant, tour operators and DMCs were received and shown the city by Eindhoven247 in 2017. The city is also trending in the press. We appeared quite a number of times in national and international media with terrific tourism publicity, like in the New York Times.
2017 also witnessed us launching our service provider role in Eindhoven and throughout the region. The surrounding municipalities of Valkenswaard, Oirschot and Geldrop/ Mierlo approached Eindhoven247 for advice, marketing concepts and project management.
