Lampegat meets Arsenal
On Tuesday, March 4, Eindhoven — renamed Lampegat for Carnival — will welcome 1,600 enthusiastic Arsenal supporters. Together with the people of Eindhoven, they will immerse themselves in the unique atmosphere of this traditional Brabant festival. For this special occasion, the Federatie Eindhovense Carnaval has created a welcome video, shared with all Arsenal fans to introduce them to the Carnival culture of Lampegat.
From 12:00 PM, the festival tent at the Markt will open, inviting Arsenal supporters to experience the carnival spirit and celebrate alongside local carnival-goers. To make this special day even more memorable, all fans from London will receive an exclusive “Lampegat meets Arsenal” badge, which they can proudly wear on their carnival outfit or match shirt as a symbol of the connection between the two fanbases.
This meeting between Arsenal supporters and the people of Lampegat is not new. In 2007, a similar festive gathering took place around the PSV-Arsenal match, where carnival and football went hand in hand. This year promises once again to be a day that will go down in the history books.
With music, cheer, and the characteristic Eindhoven hospitality, it will be a celebration to remember. Whether you come from London or Eindhoven, Tuesday will be a day of celebrating together, singing together, and enjoying together.
Let’s make it a day to remember!
